Amy specializes in helping clinicians integrate Mulligan techniques with precise anatomy + biomechanics reasoning to create safe, confident, pain-free change in real clinical scenarios — not just in lab.

Amy graduated from the University of Virginia with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Spanish. She was awarded a research fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control in 1997 and later earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California Department of Physical Therapy and Biokinesiology in 2001. In 2019, she completed a post-doctoral program at the University of Tennessee in Equine Rehabilitation. She is a certified Empowered Relief instructor.
She has been in full time clinical practice for 24 years. She is an APTA certified clinical instructor and has been a Certified Mulligan Practitioner since 2006. She is a contributing author to multiple published medical text books and has written post-operative rehabilitation protocols for publication. She is staff at Naval Medical Center San Diego and is a recipient of the Master Clinician Award. She has extensive continuing education including Mckenzie Method, Maitland technique, dry needling and Active Release. She has been an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2001 and has provided care for multiple Olympians. She is passionate about teaching anatomy & biomechanics and believes patient education combined with manual therapy results in restored function.
While not practicing she enjoys horsemanship, skiing and volunteering.
